From LiDAR, stereo vision and coded light depth devices to standalone SLAM, facial authentication and more, the product line is the most holistic portfolio of computer vision hardware solutions, designed to add depth perceptions capabilities to a wide variety of machines and devices.
For the last few years, Surfaceink has worked with the engineering team to design and develop a series of depth and tracking devices that allow users to better see the world in 3D.
The visual design language for the product family is based in usability, functionality, and manufacturability. While each camera is different, they all share fundamental traits: high operating temperatures with passive cooling, small size, mounting flexibility, and durable housings. These standard requirements led to the creation of design details that have come to represent signature language elements for the brand, such as bold venting details and streamlined aluminum housings with discrete mounting and fastener solutions. As the result of a continual collaboration between Surfaceink’s design team and the product team, this revolutionary product family has come to represent the new standard for depth sensing cameras.
Each product in the family presented unique challenges in miniaturization, thermal management, shock resistance, connectivity, and durability, which the Surfaceink and client teams addressed through sound engineering analysis, creative manufacturing techniques, and strong industrial design.
