Our client recognized the increase in customer FAQ’s and came to Surfaceink to review their current product device and mobile configuration app.

returning to our process

Surfaceink identified the need to evaluate the user’s experience by simulating and tracking the user’s interaction with the product and screens. This phase, “Discovery/Understanding the Experience”, gave us full insight to evaluate the information architecture and UI design.

This created a base reference for comparison as we moved to research into the competitive landscape of similar device and companion apps. Analysis of the competitors’ apps lead to the “Map the Experience” phase of competitive analysis to leverage our findings.

Our resulting summary identified pain points and redundancies that uncovered valuable opportunities and helped streamline the user flow, which informed our client for next steps of improvement on product strategy.
